FIRST PACE CANDIDATES : THE FRENCH PRESIDENTIAL AND GENERAL ELECTIONS
For the very first time in its history, PACE has candidates to the elections. PACE’s President, Philippe MAZUEL, took part to an online citizens primary (https://laprimaire.org/) to be candidate to the French Republic presidency. He arrived at the 6th position at the first round (out of 168 candidates), and we supported Roxane REVON for the second round. She arrived 2nd.
But this is not the end. PACE will have some candidates at the French general elections in June 2017. We can already confirm the following candidacies :
- Marlène SGARD and her substitute Thomas NONNEZ in the 7th constituency of the « département Nord » ;
- Audric ALEXANDRE and his substitute Sylvie KARBOWY in the 2nd constituency of the « département Pas-de-Calais » ;
- David MONGIN and his substitute Fabienne LOTTIN in the 3rd constituency of the « département Somme » (http://www.courrier-picard.fr/9903/article/2017-02-09/le-parti-des-citoyens-europeens-sera-represente-dans-la-3e-circonscription-de-la).
We hope to be able to confirm other candidacies in our next newsletter.
