{"id":499,"date":"2016-07-22T12:45:54","date_gmt":"2016-07-22T10:45:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.pace-europe.eu\/?page_id=499"},"modified":"2016-09-08T19:07:26","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T17:07:26","slug":"journees-thematiques","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pace-europe.eu\/en\/journees-thematiques\/","title":{"rendered":"Theme Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">First Theme Day on the reform of public life<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> C\u00e9reste, July 16, 2016<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Candidate Philippe Mazuel\u2019s program for the reform of public life:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>creation of a Citizens\u2019 Senate: Senators will be citizens drawn by lot and representatives economic stakeholders <em>[NB what about civil society?]<\/em>, (the Citizen\u2019s Senate will replace Economic and Social Council).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>establishment of a youth quota for every election: 30% of candidates must be under 40.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>recognition of the blank vote: if the majority of votes are blansk, the relevant election may invalidated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>prohibition of multiple mandates in space and in time (one mandate at a time, and not more than two consecutive terms); where a mandate has to be resigned to satisfy this probation, it is forbidden to make up for lost revenue by increasing the remuneration for the retained mandate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>prohibition on elected officials to recruit a member of their immediate family as a parliamentary employee or member of cabinet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The next theme days (environment and sustainability, social Europe, territorial equality &#8230;) will take place from September to December.
